2021 is on the horizon and plenty of pop fans around the globe are nervously anticipating new music from huge artists such as Adele, Rihanna and Lana Del Rey. Whether it be new singles, albums, or even tour documentaries (which we saw last week from Ariana Grande), I can’t wait to see how the year plays out music wise.

It’s been over four years since Adele’s last release, 25, which broke records globally and won five Grammy awards. Since she’s been gone, her life has changed massively, with a huge transformation after a 7 stone weight loss and a divorce, so we can expect to see her pour her heart out and give us a heartbreak anthem! She has reportedly been working on her fourth studio album since 2018, meaning we could potentially be seeing her return to music in 2021.
Rihanna

Fans have dubbed Rihanna’s upcoming album ‘R9’ and have been waiting for a release date for years, after her 8th album ANTI was released in 2016. In an interview with British Vogue, Rihanna said “I like to look at it as a reggae-inspired or reggae-infused album,” which steers clear from her usual R&B/pop vibe. While her new sound may be different, Rihanna is known for her genre-bending music and I will certainly be keeping a lookout for her fresh new tunes.

As a huge Lana fan myself, I know how eagerly we’ve been waiting for “Chemtrails Over The Country Club”, Del Rey’s seventh studio album. The alleged release date is March 5th 2021, but this isn’t guaranteed, as Lana is notorious for not releasing on time. The initial release date was September 5th, and we’re still patiently waiting. The titular single and accompanying single has been announced for January 11th, so 2021 will definitely be off to a good start!
